Teaching
My philosophy and approach to dance education.
As a dance educator, my goal is to inspire individuals to approach movement through play, laughter and curiosity.
Teaching History
My teaching history began in 2013 with Dance on Edge as a student teacher. Over the years my passion for teaching flourished as I was given many opportunities, guidance and experiences to teach my own dance classes. My interest to continue dancing after highschool led me to the School of Creative and Performing Arts, Dance Program, at the University of Calgary. While school provided me with the logistics and tools on how to pursue a dance career, the studio allowed me to put those practices into reality.

Philosophy
My philosophy is based on four core values that I incorporate into my classes: enjoyment, patience, vulnerability, and longevity. I trust that these values will help create a safe environment for my students to express themselves through dance.
Approach
My approach to teaching is constantly evolving with society society and proven research in healthier dance practices. Through using tactile cues, visual demonstrations, clear vocalization and conversation, I can then reach out to different types of learning styles.
Safe Dance Practices
The University of Calgary was the first in Canada to offer a certificate in healthy dance practices alongside degrees.
